The Mille Miglia ran – on and off – for thirty years between 1927 and 1957; a race over a thousand miles on public roads, starting and finishing in Brescia and looping through Rome and Florence. It broke cars and drivers; fewer than half of the hundreds who started each year would finish.

In 1955 Stirling Moss averaged almost 100mph over the entire course; to do that he had to travel at 170mph at times down unlit, cratered back roads. It was staggeringly dangerous, so much so that it was temporarily banned in 1939 and then stopped as a competitive event in 1957 after a Ferrari driven, by the King of Spain’s nephew, flipped into the crowd killing both the driver and ten spectators.
In 1977 the event was reborn and now the spirit and passion of the race lives on as an exclusive and glamorous showcase of some of the rarest and most beautiful cars in the world. Open only to cars that could have competed in the original event; there are only 375 places available however every year nearly 2,000 of the world’s wealthiest car collectors apply. A £10,000 entry fee is just the start. Most pay for support vehicles and mechanics and fly their cars in from around the globe.
The popularity of the event drives the value of eligible cars through the roof, and many here have paid millions just to be able to drive up the starting ramp.

Price Guideline is per person and based on 2 people sharing a twin or double room. Prices shown do not include flight costs. We can quote for flights – through our ATOL bonded travel partner, or you can arrange your own

Please note that we can extend your tour adding customised options, either before or after the main event as described above.
The tour shown is for a small group – we estimate around 26 guests plus our guides/on‐site staff etc. This is not an exclusive event in so far as you may be travelling with other members of the group, and will be dining with them at the provided meals.
